Gasoline Prices Down 200 Riels per Liter

PHNOM PENH: The retail price of gasoline per liter decreased by 200 Riels (almost five cents) for the start of October, while the price of diesel has remained the same.

The Ministry of Commerce announced the retail price of fuel from October 1-10, 2023, with regular gasoline going down to 4,550 Riels per liter (about $1.10) and diesel selling for 4,850 Riels (about $1.18).

The Cambodian government currently subsidizes 287 Riels (about 6.5 cents) per liter to manage consumer prices. Cambodia primarily imports all of its petroleum from countries like Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. This year, imports are down 9.5% despite growing consumer demand.
